Celebrate Earth Day on April 20th with University of Nevada Cooperative Extension

 

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and Nevada Wildlife Federation will be teaching a workshop on Backyard Conservation at noon on Monday, April 20. Leslie Allen, commercial horticulture program coordinator, will discuss methods and techniques of creating wildlife habitat in the home landscape. Special focus will be given to creating habitat for native pollinators and beneficial insects. Allen will discuss how to create nesting places, protected places for water and food, and other ways to enhance the appeal of your garden to Nevada’s beautiful wildlife. Details on how to certify your backyard as Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation will be provided.
